In the summer of 2013 I got a new tonearm and cartridge for my Systemdek IIX turntable, and decided that there were some albums in my growing vintage record collection that really needed professional cleaning.
I had been using a Spin Clean to good effect, but wanted better results, so I looked around the local Boston area record stores and didn't find anyone with professional equipment who offered a cleaning service to properly deep clean my records.
The nearest services I could find were far away, they offered steam cleaning, or used conventional machines like a VPI or Nitty Gritty, and not the more effective ultrasonic record cleaning machines I was excitedly reading about while researching cleaners online.
Those conventional cleaning services were expensive, and the ultrasonic cleaners were selling for more than I had spent on my entire stereo system! What to do?
I started Record Genie with the purchase of two ultrasonic record cleaning machines, one Audio Desk Vinyl Cleaner, and one Klaudio KD-CLN-LP200, and have been cleaning records for satisfied customers all over the USA since September 2013.
With the fantastic customer reaction and feedback that Record Genie has received, I am excited about helping many more customers enjoy the delights of playing really clean records!
Thanks, Dave Burton
